"Not a great experience. I have been very patient with the staff. They made it almost impossible for me to make a payment when I'm out of the US when vacation time. The assistant never informed of the automatic payment neither the balance of every month for the new policy. I assume everything is being taken care of after double checking with the assistant. 2 months later they blame on you on why you did not make the payment. After asking "is everything all set" he said yes.That's the way they roll. Main agent does not take responsibility of their assistants work and never apologized for this whole mess on going back and forth. Really bad customer service. This automatic system processing has been going on for a while. They called my sister instead on calling me directly over the phone. I am relieved am out now. Do not waste your time signing up with them. They do not have enphathy."
We responded:
"I'm sorry to hear of your negative experience with myself and my team. My office documents all interactions to ensure transparency. As we explained in May 2021 when we switched from a Virginia policy to a Maryland policy the premium would be slightly higher and that we will need a new SFPP (State Farm Payment Plan) authorization form signed because the policy is now a Maryland policy. Per the notes on your account we never received the signed form which authorizes State Farm billing to pull your premium each month. (Please note if we don't have the signed form State Farm billing will not pull any premium) Since we did not receive the signed form no premium was collected for your auto policy in May or June which is why my office reached out. Missed payments will cause a policy to lapse in Virginia , Maryland and DC and we always alert our customers to avoid any lapse issues. My team and I respectfully advise/suggest to all our customers who are NOT on auto-pay to set a reminder each month to either call our office or log in to your statefarm.com profile to pay your monthly premium. More importantly we also advise our customers to call my office if they don't see their normal installment deducted from their credit card or bank account. Again I apologize for any misunderstanding and we will continue to strive to improve our customer service and communication to our valued customers.
